This policy applies across all marketing and ecommerce websites and sub-domains that Relegen owns and operates, as well as some services we provide as part of our proprietary web-based software and mobile workflow applications and any other application or service we may offer (such as technical support, events or training), unless a different policy or agreement is displayed or applicable.

With the exception of some account information that may be captured on our marketing websites during a software trial or purchase or registration to receive our web-based software or mobile application services, this policy does not generally apply to your access to and use of our software and mobile applications which we market for sale, licensing or subscription via our marketing websites. Relegen takes reasonable steps to preserve the security of personal data in accordance with our website Terms & Conditions and this Privacy Policy. Although Relegen strives to protect such information, Relegen cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our services and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we take all reasonable steps to preserve the security of your personal data in our own systems.

The information that we will collect about you will depend on how you use the facilities offered by us. For example, if you visit our website to read, browse or download information, our system will record non-identifiable data such as the date and time of your visit to our site, the pages viewed and any information downloaded. However there may be occasions when we need to source personal information about you from a third party. The primary purpose for Relegen collecting your personal information is usually in relation to receiving information about our business, products and services. We only collect personal information about you that is necessary to perform our functions and activities such as:

Email Transmissions

We will preserve the content of any email that you send to us at Relegen if we believe that we have a legal requirement to do so. Your email message content may be monitored by Relegen for trouble-shooting or maintenance purposes or security issues including if any form of abuse is suspected. Our email responses to you may be monitored for quality assurance issues.

If you have elected to receive company news or marketing emails from us, you may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us by using the unsubscribe link within each email, or by emailing marketing@relegen.com and requesting to have your contact information removed from our email list.

Where We Work With Third-Parties

There are occasions where Relegen works with third-parties to deliver services and so there are times when we may be required to share your personal information with them, or where these third-parties may request personal information from you. All third-party suppliers are rigorously and regularly quality assessed by Relegen. For transparency to our users and customers, these include:

In regards to your usage of our marketing website, Relegen currently uses managed WordPress hosting provided by WPEngine, Inc. For more information please contact us.

In regards to your usage of our online support portal, Relegen currently uses Freshdesk helpdesk software from Freshworks Inc.. As such you may need to supply personal information to Freshdesk / Freshworks Inc. before you can create and account and receive technical support from Relegen via the online portal. In regards to your receipt of electronic newsletter or campaign emails, Relegen currently uses Campaign Monitor software. For more information please refer to Campaign Monitor privacy notice or contact us.

Relegen maintains its customer contacts database in Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM). For more information please refer to Zendesk’s privacy notice or contact us.

In regards to your usage of our web-based software products and in instances where your database is hosted in the cloud (i.e. not on your premises or internal server owned and managed by you), Relegen currently uses with Amazon Web Services. In this instance, your data storage location will be specified in your ‘End-User License Agreement’. For more information please refer to AWS’s privacy notice or contact us.

In regards to your usage of our mobile workflow application, you may need to supply personal information to the Apple App Store before you can download the application. For more information please refer to Apple’s privacy notice or contact us.

International Data Transfers

There may be instances where we need to share, transmit or process data in countries other than Australia or the country in which you live. These countries may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country.
